Jay W. Mader joined Arnett, Draper and Hagood as an associate in 2002. He is licensed in the state of Tennessee and is a member of the Knoxville Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association and American Bar Association.
In 1989, Jay received a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from the University of Tennessee, with a major in English Literature. He then attended his first year of law school at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law prior to transferring back to the University of Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1993. After graduating from the College of Law, Jay practiced with another Knoxville law firm for over eight years where he focused in the areas of employment, tort, commercial and real estate law.
His legal practice with Arnett Draper and Hagood is concentrated in the areas of labor and employment law with a secondary emphasis on commercial and tort litigation. Jay is co-chair of the Knoxville Bar Association's Legal Placement Service Committee (2001-2003) and also is a member of the Knoxville Bar Association's Professionalism Committee (2000-2003).
